Less than a year after Organigram had its organic certification suspended following a product recall, the Moncton, N.B.-based company started the process to be recertified as an organic producer of medical cannabis. Organigram said in a news release it submitted an “action” plan to Ecocert Canada, an organic certification body recognized by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. The recertification process involves a series of onsite inspections, and Organigram aims to complete the process before next July, when recreational cannabis is expected to be legalized in Canada.
