The NYPD’s former chief of department has landed a lucrative job as the muscle behind a well-financed pot distribution network, The Post has learned— and it’s all legal.
Philip Banks III, who left the NYPD last year over a power struggle with Police Commissioner Bill Bratton, has been hired as chief security officer by a firm seeking to dispense medical marijuana in New York, sources said.
Banks will be joined at the Compassionate Care Center of New York by Joseph Dunne, former chief security officer of the Port Authority and NYPD deputy commissioner. [Read More]
